ABOUT ME
—
Aloha!
My name is Michelle Chan and I LOVE connecting with people from every corner of the world! My perpetual itch for exploring our beautiful planet precedes all my work as a photographer.
I’m based in Honolulu, Hawai’i but frequently travel worldwide to capture life’s beautiful moments. I especially love photographing people during weddings, elopements, honeymoons, proposals, engagements, vacations, and any other event involving love and adventure.
—
How do I approach photography? For context, I graduated from Pomona College, a small liberal arts college outside Los Angeles. While I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology, I supplemented my studies of the human mind with courses exploring media, film, digital art, sociology, representation, ethnic studies, and the roles each play with one another. I thus approach my work as a photographer holistically, documenting and sharing visual narratives that employ my multifaceted understanding of people.

Some fun facts about me:

Co-founded the Asian Creative Network (ACN) Los Angeles chapter, which is thriving at over 5,400 members.
Lived and worked on a reindeer ranch in interior Alaska.
